  1. The house is also given merits according to the location of the balconies. If the flats have balconies from north to northeast or from northeast to east then it is considered to be the best flat and the ones that have balconies in the west are of mediocre quality.
  2. Slanting East balcony gives overall prosperity and the North balcony provides more wealth.
  3. Roofs should always slope towards north or east but never towards south and west.
  4. Small plants, shrubs, and seasonal flowering plants along with a basil plant should be placed in the north-east zone of the balcony. They need sunlight to thrive.
  5. Heavy furniture and seating should be placed in the southern and western corners of the southwest balcony. You can use square shape furniture and have furnishings in geometric shapes and in earthy colors like beige, cream, yellow or rust.
  6. Square and rectangle shapes are preferred for balconies and verandas. They should never be rounded off, and the walls should always meet at ninety degrees.
  7. Balconies towards north and east should be wider than the ones in the south and west if at all constructed.
  8. The balcony cannot be projecting out alone in the north or east. This gives a cut in the vital part of the house, which is northeast.
  9. South balcony should not be slanting down. It dries out the finances and health.
  10. Avoid constructing a balcony on the southern or western side of the main building.
  11. West balcony should not be slanting down; it may cause jobless, health less, worry full, improving enemies’ power, lack of sustainability and good living problems, etc.
  12. The ideal position for a balcony is north and east, where there is constant sunlight from morning to evening. The western and southern sides are too hot to sit and hence should be avoided.
  13. Heavy furniture and seating should be placed in the south-western, southern or western corner of the balcony.
  14. Ensure that the floor of the balcony in the north and east is always lower than the floor of the main building compound.
